If the first explorers who settled in America were Spanish (Christopher Columbus), why don't we speak Spanish?
Before the English settled in America with the indentured servants for the south and the religious people in the north, Spanish settlers came to America. What event(s) caused the Spanish to leave? How did this happen and who caused it?
