Why Do Some Men Move On Easily Without An Explanation?

I have 4 children by this guy.He is so hard to understand but I care for him.He allows me to text him but he doesn't want to go out as a family.Recently he told me to text in code and contact him by email.Is it pointless to try and rekindle something?
