Is a Guinea Pig a good pet for a 4 and 5 year old?

no they dont make good pets for young children. they dont bite but they are pretty fragile. one fall could seriously injure them. before even considering a pet you HAVE to do ur reaserch. please undersand that your grand kids will probably see it as a toy that they can decide to play with or ignore at any time. how do u think that so many guinea pigs end up in shelters? because u are the one buying it the responsibilities will fall on u. you will have to feed it, clean the cage, let it out for at least an hour every day. u cant expect 4 and 5 yr olds to do all of that. the point is please do ur reaserch and dont get ur self into somthing untill u know what it is ur acctually getting ur self into
