My cat is stark raving bonkers Why?

He growls at the cat flap before he goes through it , he attacks us out in the garden if we stand on the lawn and he waits for us to get undressed at night and then tries to wrap himself around our ankles .He is 10 years old. the cat flap was fitted in Feb so it was new to him .Has anyone else had these problems ?
