Im after a free downloadable download manager for windows. any recomendations?

I Download files from rapidshare using a program called speed download, I then use a program called stuffit to extract them onto my desktop. however all this ran on my old macintosh, and I've discovered that speed download doesn't work for windows. I'm after a free decent download manager for windows that can replace speed download. I'm running vista 32bit. (god I miss XP) =D
