A question about library books - how do they go missing?

In some cases it is misplacement or loss.In other cases it is theft.And rare books that expose Masonry or the occult are deliberately stolen from libraries all over the nation.And when an astute librarian catches it they will take those out of circulation and keep them as reference only books.
