How long does it take a broken pinkie finger to heal without surgery?

Im so bummed because the hand Specialist said I have to wear this annoying splint for 6-8 weeks. My Original doctor said I needed surgery and now the specialist said I just have to wear the splint for almost 2 months. Its been 2 wks since I broke my pinkie and its still swollen. Can someone please help me out?? Do you think it will heal
