What would you do to make other people happy?

I feel that lately I've been acting a little arrogant and rude towards some people and want to do something to show them that I'm not that kind of person. Is there anything in particular you like to see others do for you? What about gestures and mannerisms. What conveys sincerity? What conveys rudeness?
